- Thanks to innovative energy interventions like solar, hydro and wind, the Western Cape now protects residents from up to two stages of load-shedding, with a plan to end rolling blackouts in the province over the next three years.
- 98% of the 69 000 jobs created in the last quarter of 2022 were all located in the Western Cape, and the unemployment rate is 12.6% lower than the next best-performing province.
- Murder rates are falling as the DA introduces over 1 300 LEAP officers to assist SAPS in crime hotspots. Crime fighting tech is also changing the game in the City of Cape Town’s worst-affected areas with gun-shot detection devices.
